VANILLA CACAO PROTEIN SHAKE (V-GF)

I love protein shakes. If done right, they are sweet without the added sugars and they fill you up real quick! I don't have one every day but I get my phases... And right now you guessed it, I'm in my protein shake phase.

A week ago I started having a protein shake every morning instead of my breakfast. One of the reasons is because they are simply yummy but another is because I'm trying to go fully vegan and substituting my fish protein is still a bit of a challenge for me. The great news is that with this specific protein powder I get 30g of protein and a very low amounts of carbs. 

And of course it's delicious - like really delicious.

Ingredients

1/2 Banana
1/4 cup of coconut/almond blend milk
1/2 cup of water
1 tbsp Peanut Butter
1 tsp Cacao Powder
1 scoop of Vega Sport vanilla Protein Powder
1 Medjool Date (remove the pit)
Cacao nibs (optional)

Directions

Blend all ingredients together in a blender. Top with cacao nibs if you'd like. Enjoy!

If you're not a big fan of peanut butter, you can replace it with strawberries! The Strawberry-Banana-Chocolate combo is also delicious.
