GINGER-SESAME-CITRUS BAKED ASIAN SALMON

I love Asian food. One of the main reasons is that they use lots of citrus, ginger and fresh herbs. I like my baked salmon two ways: with olive oil and lemon or asian style. Here is my favourite Asian-style baked salmon recipe.

Ingredients

2 x 5 ounces of fresh farmed salmon (I recommend Costco)
3 garlic cloves - grated
1 inch piece of ginger root - grated
1 tbsp Coconut oil
1 tsp Sesame oil
Chili Flakes
Salt / Pepper

Preparation

Place the salmon and all of the ingredients into a large zip lock bag. Mix the ingredients in the bag to make sure the salmon is fully covered. Remove the air from the zip lock and close it tightly before letting the salmon marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (the longer you wait the better).

While the salmon is marinating, line a baking pan with parchment paper and preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place the salmon on the parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes until pink inside. Enjoy!
