HEALTHY FOODIE - MONTREAL EDITION

I love to travel but Montreal is where the heart is. After living here for more than 20 years how could it not be. If you've never been then you must know that Montreal is known for two things: its Nightlife and FOOD! Whenever a new restaurant opens I make sure to try it. So here you'll find some new places that I recently discovered and some old ones that stayed consistent throughout the years. Here are my top restaurant recommendations for Montreal 2020 (in random order).
1. MAMAN
The perfect breakfast spot with an authentic New York City vibe. Simple, cute and trendy. Most importantly, GREAT food. Located in Griffintown.
2. ARTHURS NOSH BAR

A great spot to have some Jewish classics. Latkes are definitely on the menu. Very small and cozy spot. If you're a big group, make sure you're ready to wait in line - but it will be well worth it. Located in Griffintown.

3. FIORELLINO SNACKBAR

A great Italian classic and one of my top restaurants in Montreal. This gem brings you amazing pasta, authentic Italian pizza and a great vibe. Fiorellino has two locations and is currently opening a third one.

4. TOMMY CAFE

If you're roaming in the old port and want a quick snack and a great cup of coffee, head to Tommy Cafe or Tommy Bagel. If you work from your computer then grab your laptop and enjoy the cute interior design while you're there.

5. BARROCO

This cozy restaurant offers South of France cuisine with a Spanish influence. The owners of this gem own a few other great restaurants in the city and definitely know what they are doing. Perfect for a late night date. Located in the Old Port.

6. NORA GRAY

They change their menu quite often and it's incredible everytime. It's a small little restaurant that offers great food and amazing service. I've been numerous times and would go back in a heartbeat. Located in Griffintown.

7. ILE FLOTTANTE

It's named after their famous dessert "l'ile flottante", which by the way is one of my favourite desserts of all time. It used to be called "Deux Singes de Montarvie", until they re-branded a couple of years ago. It offers fine dining at its best. Not cheap but well worth the try. No A la carte menu. It offers a 3, 5 or 7 course menu. It's an experience that I highly recommend.
